Eligibility and Fees

With the SFL subsidy, Singapore Citizens pay $5 or less per screening visit.

This screening cost includes the cost of the recommended screening tests done within the same visit and the doctor’s consultation fee, as well as the first follow-up consultation fee for individuals who have been assessed to require one. Individuals who undergo screening test(s) on a separate visit will be charged a separate fixed fee.

Recommended Screenings

The recommended tests are beneficial as early detection of diseases leads to better management of health and health outcomes.

Do these checks regularly or as advised by your doctor

  1. Obesity

    Obesity can lead to chronic diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension.

  2. High Cholesterol

    High cholesterol can lead to narrowing of blood vessels which can increase risks of heart attack or stroke.

  3. High blood pressure

    High blood pressure can damage blood vessels and increase risks of kidney and heart diseases and stroke.

  4. Diabetes

    Poor controlled diabetes can lead to nerve damage, kidney failure, heart attack and stroke – especially if you have certain risk factors.

2. Colorectal Cancer – Faecal Immunochemical test

Colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon) can be prevented and is treatable when detected early.

It is recommended that men who are above 50 years of age with a family history of prostate cancer diagnosed below the age of 60 years speak to their doctors for relevant screening

Regular Cervical Cancer Screening

Do discuss the frequency/type of test based on your risk profile with your Doctor

Women who have had sexual intercourse and/or are sexually active are at risk of developing cervical cancer and should go for regular cervical cancer screening.

For 50 years old and above

On top of Regular Cervical Cancer Screening, it is recommended for you to go for Mammogram to screen for Breast Cancer every 2 years. 

Mammogram is a process where the breasts are screened to check for abnormalities.

Screen for Life is a National Health Screening Programme by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) for eligible Singapore Citizens at a subsidised rate.
